The thermostatically operated central heating valve has two thermostatic elements (26, 26a) and is designed to control both a heating fluid and a cooling fluid for both summer and winter use. Each element is housed inside an identical cylindrical cap (17, 17a) the caps being mounted on opposite ends of the valve housing (2). Between them, the valve disc (10) is lowered onto a annular seating (8), with its rise and fall controlled by inner springs (20, 20a) and outer springs (27, 27a). All these components are positioned on a common central axis, with the inlet and outlet connections (3, 4) at right angles to it.
