Underground tunnel joint seal against water and drifting sand - has insulating rendering applied after inserting cement bonded drainage duct

Sealing for joint gaps in concrete structures, in the face of water and/or drifting sand, is applicable to galleries, tunnels, underground ducts, or similar erected in layers subjected to these. The joint is completely cleaned in the working area. A drainage duct is inserted, and bonded outwards in the joint by means of intensively hydraulic quick-setting cement. Insulating rendering is applied to the joint, thus sealed, if appropriate with intervening adhesive agent, compensating filler and embedded reinforcing mesh. The drainage duct cna have drifting sand filtering qualities, and can comprise an open-cellular, water-permeable plastic strip.
