The application is typically to components, for example power supplies, in telecommunications equipment which can be unplugged or withdrawn. The insert (1) of insulating materials has a rectangular opening (4) bounded on three sides only. The lead with its protective grommet is entered from the open side. The grommet has slots which engage with thin ribs (2) on the insert. Twisting and axial movement of the cable is thus inhibited. The two opposite outer edges (7) of the insert are thicker than the ribs (2), and have grooves (8) on the outside. These grooves serve to located the insert in the equipment housing.
