The pulse transformer functions on the anemometer principle, preferably using thermistors as a flow indicator. Oscillating air pressure fluctuations of suitable amplitude and frequency are superimposed on the air volume before the nozzle of the measuring transformer, which is preferably inside the measuring device. These cause oscillating air flow through the nozzle, and result in a more or less strong linearisation of the operating characteristics of the pre-heated thermistors over which flow takes place.
