The antenna consists of an amplifier for the whole frequency range, and of separate antenna elements tuned to individual ranges. The VHF antenna element is a turnstile antenna whose dipole bars are centrally mounted on a plate, and their free ends bent in arcs of a circle. The UHF element is a triple dipole whose bars form three dipoles spaced by 120 deg., with ends on a circle. They are connected by strips to the centre where they are connected in parallel.
