Hand protective disc for machine tool operator - has controls moved with disc to operate linear motor reversing brake via switches

The hand protection arrangement is for power-operated machine tools, e.g. presses, stamping machines. The hand positioning of the workpiece in the working area during the operative cycle is covered by a protective disc. This disc is connected to a thrust rod which is part of the reaction rail of a linear motor. The motor is provided with a brake control, which reverses it when the protective plate approaches its end position so as to reduce its speed of movement. To set the reverse process in action, switches are provided which are operated by controls moved together with the protective disc.
