Thelong stator is mounted on a long support, with its slots open downwards. The winding consists of three independent cables. The three cables are combined into a continuous structure, and this winding is wound on a drum (1), from which it is pulled off and at first attached to a first support (10) movable on the frame (8) below the stator (4). This support is then moved along the stator, and the winding is placed at intervals on further movable supports (17) until it is stretched under the whole stator. Then, starting from one end, the winding is pressed in consecutive slots and fastened in them.
