Clamping and interlocking device for two machine tool parts comprises tensile bars attached to one part and co-operating with the other part. Each bar is associated with a hydraulic cylinder whose piston is fast with the bar. Used for closing mould halves in plastics foil deforming machines. Simple means which are not subject to excessive wear are provided.
