The hall provides for all forms of sport on ice, indoors, throughout the year. It has audience platforms on the longitudinal sides of a rectangular central ice surface. An additional ice surface is provided round the central one and around the platforms, at the same level as the central surface. It can be octagonal in plan, pref. of constant width. Its cooling circuit may be separated from that of the central surface. Access to the platform can be above and/or below it.
