A device determines the CIF and SINOID coordinates of coloured surfaces. It displays the colours defined by the coordinates and is portable, simple, and compact. It enables direct measurement of the colours of bodies in different positions and with different surfaces according to international colour (CIE) and tone (SINOID) systems of measurement. Intensity and brightness are also measured. A visual comparison device operates in conjuction with colour comparison pattern rows built into the device.
