An electronic guitar is mfd. in modular form to allow a range of string bridges to be fitted. The main body of the guitar (1) has a slot (7) that provides a location for the string bridge (2). The bridge carries two sound pick-ups (3), with the tone and volume controls mounted on the body. The bridge when inserted into the locating slot is secured by a clamping bolt on the underside of the body.
