In order to produce perforations which are as small as desired in a flat part, a metal template (2) is produced on a plane glass substrate (1), on which metal template the desired flat part material, e.g. gold (4), is deposited electrolytically in the desired thickness. At the boundaries of the template, the plating layer grows by a defined amount also in the lateral direction. In this way, perforations which are as small as desired can be produced very precisely in a flat part. IMAGE
