The device for heating blood being supplied to a medical transfusion device consists of a plate (10) made of a heat-conducting metal such as aluminium, copper etc. In the surface is a zig-zag channel with rounded beads interconnecting straight portions, into which the blood supply tube is inserted to form an extended heating path. Underneath the end of the plate are connected to a winding of a transformer connected to an alternating current source forming a heating system. A heat sensor can be attached to the underside to control the temperature. Alternatively, the current supply can be connected directly to the plate, or a conductive film can be mounted on the plate.
