The hand-operated riveting tool is for hollow rivets of larger dia. The tool has a power amplifying mechanism incorporated in a tong housing, with a multiple position operating arm attachment. The tool consists of a tong housing which contains the riveting and rivet clamping mechanism and has connections for the operating arms at various points of the housing. The connections enabling the use of the tool in different positions can be square sockets with push-on stubs, or tapped sockets with threaded screw-in stubs on the operating handles. The sockets are also suitable for attaching steadying grips. For the actual riveting operation, when the stem of the hollow rivet has to be pulled out to form the rivet head, a ratchet arm can be attached for uses in restricted spaces to operate the riveting mechanism in short rotating movements.
