The panel heat exchanger has two pipe coil cycles in cross flow. The first two media are in heat exchange with each other via the common panel finning and with a third medium which acts on the panels in counter flow to the first medium and in cross frow to the second medium. There is a pipe coil in the first cycle along the flow of the third medium while a pipe coil in the second cycle is transverse to this flow. The second pipe coil system is arranged in the heat exchanger closer to the outlet than the inlet of the third medium.
