Separating process for granular mine and pure pumice - uses differing specific gravities of components for separation by screens of different mesh sizes

The pumice material is brought by conveyor belt (1) onto the three-tier screen (2), comprising three bottoms (3, 4, 5). The top base (3) screens out fractions with grain sizes in excess of 12 mm and conveys them to the after crusher (6) where they are reduced to sizes below 12 mm and the reduced material is transported back by a belt (7) and a belt (1) onto a screen (2). Material with grain size smaller than 12 mm drops onto a screen (4) with mesh size around 8 mm which separates sizes over 8 mm. Underneath the scree (4) another screen (5) with mesh size 2 mm is fitted which separates the sizes over 2 mm. Grain sizes between 0 and 2 mm contain large proportions of clayish substances which drop through the screen (5) and a belt (8) transports them away from furtherer process.
