Tufted brush comprises bristles weld-bonded into a plastics back. The bristles are surrounded by a bead of plastics protruding from the surface of the back, at that point where they penetrate into the plastics back. Both back and bristles are pref. made of a thermoplastics e.g. polypropylene or a polyamide. The bristles are bonded into the back in rows or in clusters. The back has a circumferential rim and reinforcing ribs on that side opposite the bristles. Alternatively, the bristles are natural bristles or a mixt. of natural and plastics bristles.
