A self contained electronic guitar has built in power supply and amplifiers. The main body of the guitar is separated into four different compartments. The main section (1) carries the loudspeaker (2). The two outer compartments have the amplifiers coupled to pick-ups (8). The mid section (4) has the gv energy supply. A separate electromagnetic vibrator is coupled to the string tensioner and may be excited by a signal generator to provide a vibrate effect.
