Flush mounted underfloor convection heater - is housed inside trough with outer layers of sound and heat insulating material

The underfloor convector using steam, electricity or hot water as a heating medium, has side by side compartments for the heater and for air entry, housed in a trough (5). This trough is embedded in the floor (2) with its edges flush with the floor covering, and carrying a covering grid (7). Under the bottom of the trough is a sheet (11) of sound deadening material, wider and longer than the trough itself. This material has holes through its periphery, all round, and can be attached to the trough e.g. by adhesive. The trough is also enclosed by heat insulating material.
