The transformer circuit has the primary windings of the two transformers connected via plug-type connections to the power supply. A snap-action switch with spring loading automatically operates when the plug is pulled out and thereby removes voltage from the plug's pins. The switch is operated by a cam post. The spring is set into the cam post which moves along a U-shaped channel in the housing under the action of the snap-action switch's spring so that when the plug is in its socket the snap-action switch runs up against a cam on the rectangular cam post.
