Heat-pump domestic heating system - has evaporator also acting as solar heat collector

The heating system with heat pump incorporates an evaporator to the ambient air, a compressor, a condenser, and an expansion valve. The evaporator also acts as a solar heat collector. Its fins can be used as the collector surfaces, their ends being bent in the direction of the strongest solar radiation and coloured dull black. The collector can be covered by a glass plate. The equipment can be mounted on a window, the external evaporator being connected by pipes to the other parts indoors. The system ensures max. possible economy of fuel, as a heat pump achieves economies in operation even without resorting to solar heating.
