Central heating system operating method - using heat storage vessel on each storey with thermostatic control to regulate supply of metered hot water from central boiler

The central heating operating procedure is for a boiler furnace serving an apartment block. The circulatory system is divided into separate sections, e.g. for each flat, each having its own heat storage vessel supplied with the same amounts of heat at the same time. The boiler is subjected to a cooling phase after the storage vessel charging phase. When a heat storage vessel has cooled to an extent determined by a thermostatic control assigned to that heating section, it is recharged from the boiler and the amount and time is separately registered. The economical use of a single boiler is combined with precise individual comfort level setting and metering. Residual heat from the boiler during the cooling phase can be used. Unoccupied flats can be left at a heat level to prevent dampness etc.
