In the parent patent 2715373 patterned covering sheets are prepd. by coating a moving substrate with a flowable compsn. to form =1 film layer, overcoating opt. with an intermediate and then a top layer, profiling the multilayer material on its upper surface still during adhesion to the substrate and then printing the raised in areas in one or multi-tone. In this patent of addition depressed areas are printed instead. The prod. has high wear and abrasion resistance and can be used for floor coverings.
