The heater comprises a cylindrical housing (1) with a flat top and bottom (2, 6). Two diametrically opposed perpendicular inwardly curved zones (3, 4) extend down from the top (6) of the housing (1) to halfway down it. The cold water intake (7) is positioned at the rear of the housing (1) near the bottom, with the fitting (9) receiving the electrical supply cable (10) positioned in one of the inwardly curved zones (4) vertically above the cold water intake (7). The hot water off-take (8) is perpendicular to the bottom of the housing at the centre. Pref. the fitting (9) for the supply cable (10) does not project outwards beyond the lower part of the housing (1).
