The feed mechanism for a bending and stamping press includes a reciprocating mechanism driven from the main drive of the machine. The rod (19) forming the container is attached at one end by a spindle through a block (20) which slides in a slot (23) in a cam follower (22). The slot extends along the stem of the follower, which is fored at the other end. The two arms (31, 32) of the fork carry rollers (29, 30) which follow the edge of the driving cam (26) which consists of two curved cam plates (27, 28). These plates include sections (34, 35) of constant radius so that the rollers are in contact with these sections.
