Sepn. of ferromagnetic metal powders from liquids - esp. purifying hydrogenated oils from nickel powder by magnetic field

Nickel powder is removed from hydrogenated oils by passing the fluid through a magnetic field which draws the metal powder away, so that the product leaves the magnetic field freed from the powder which is known to be a carcinogen. The magnetic field is applied via a gutter to which the poles may be attached, and as the fluid runs through it, the powder is collected in the gutter.
