Prevention of forgery of cheque cards - using magnetic strip carrying code which can be checked against visible code

An identity card or cheque card is made forgery proof. An endless strip of paper is printed with information which can be read by the human eye and is supplied from the computer terminal to the printing head. The paper is then cut into pieces of the required size and attached to a magnetic card and a transparent cover. From the visible code printed on the card a magnetic code is selected which is then imposed on the magnetic card which can later be checked when the card is presented by the user.
