A bracket having one or two arms or a plate for use in a tow lift is of glass fibre reinforced synthetic material. Pref. it is formed exclusively of glass fibre reinforced polyamide produced in one piece by injection moulding. The one-armed tow lift bracket is concavely curved in the direction of the towing cable, and its end which is clamped to the cable widens out into a rigid triangle. This has a first side parallel to the direction of the cable, and a second side at a tangent to the concave section. The third side subtends an angle of 70-90 degrees to the second side. The remainder of the bracket is a long, elastically deflecting supporting piece for the skier, and the bracket has the advantage that since no metal inserts are necessary, it can easily be produced by injection moulding.
