Insulation stripping method from cable end - uses insulation ring separated from cable insulation, in addition to stripped section, to hold cable cores when pushed to end (NL 15.7.80)

The cable contains at least one insulated conductor of a number of stranded bare conductive wires. In the stripping process the insulation is cut in a presetable distance from the conductor end, and this insulation section is pulled off. In addition to the removed part a ring (6, 7) of the insulation is also separated and is shifted towards the end of the conductor (4, 5) and left there, while leaving the conductor tip free. Pref. the ring is narrow in relation to the removed part length. The end rins provide compact conductor tips for possible connection to plug pins, or socket contacts etc. They also form a safeguard against short circuits caused by roprotruding cable core wires. The formation of these rings is an easy replacement of core ends soldering, required by safety precautions.
