The press button fastening is esp. for a necklace. The throat of the top section is flattened at least on one side to form a shoulder for the locking spring. The assembly can only be opened by turning the two sections against each other so that the locking spring is spread out by the flattened shoulder. The throat of the top section is formed into a multi-angle cross section, acting with a U-shaped locking spring. Rotation of the throat section spreads the spring out for release. The locking spring passes through slits in the structure so that the legs of the spring give the locking action.
