The puzzle consists of magnetic attachment of puzzle stones on a base support. The puzzle stones and the base support are held together solely by the force of magnetic attraction. The lay out is partic. applicable to jig saw type puzzles for use by elderly or handicapped persons as the puzzle can be operated withot the base support being in a horizontal position. It is also possible to apply metal to already existing puzzle stones so that they adhere to a metal base plate.
