Blood filter for removing dead particles or impurities - using dense packing of plastic monofilaments wound into coil on hollow sieve core

The filter consists of a dense packing of unwoven fibres which possess a dia. similar to the dia. of blood particles. The packing is formed by a single plastic monofilament, or by strands of long monofilaments, made into at least one uniformly wound coil on a hollow, permeable core. The coil pref. consists of a crosswinding on a core which is a sieve filter; and a sieve filter may also be located on the filter outlet. Several filament windings with different packing density may be wound on the core. The object is to improve filters of the type described in DT 2516175, which possess the disadvantage that channels can form in the packing so efficient filtration is not obtd.
