The flow guide body is for the coolant at axial flow heat transmitters such as single flow tube heat exchangers has axial feed of the coolant to a coolant entry chamber. The guide body is in the coolant inlet and the coolant chamber is corrosion or sea water-resistant since a corrosive medium such as sea water or brackish water is used as coolant. On the inlet side, the flow guide body (1) has a cylindrical base which corresponds to the nominal width of the coolant connecting live channels (3) pass out from the base towards the well of the coolant inlet chamber (5) and form an angle with the inlet axis. The flow guide body (1) is of a material such as plaster and there is an annular fixing gap (6) between the neck (2) at the flow guide body (1) and the axial chamber opening.
