The shower unit has side walls with sliding doors (8, 10) bounding an entrance at the corner front. Vertical uprights on each side of the entrance, and belonging to the sliding doors, have an additional section (13, 14) each, extending the entire height of the respective upright, with a curved section, which overlaps the curved part of the additional section in a closed position. The inside and outside of each additional section have gripping bars. A fastener is mounted on the inside of each vertical upright, and has a stop strip fitting into a groove in the upright. If the doors are arranged in the mid plane of the unit sockets (1, 2), the surved sections of the doors extend over the entire front corner region, when closed.
