The process is used to press parts having a complicated height profile. It uses subsequent top- and bottom pressing of the individual press sections. The additional lower die movement is adjusted proportional to the upper die movement, and is effected via a lever system. The speed of the divided lower die system in the press area, is continuously adjusted differentially, dependant upon the upper the movement. There may be two independently adjustable take-off systems for punch and lower die.
