Gas turbine engine with oil injection into compressor - with cooling water injected downstream of compressor and recovered from turbine exhaust

A compressor (1) draws in air (2) and delivers it to a combustion chamber (7) where fuel (8) is injected. The hot gases pass to a turbine (9) which drives the compressor. Oil for lubricating and cooling is injected into the compressor and recovered in a separator (6) between the compressor and turbine. Water is injected into a further vessel (5) between the compressor and oil separator. It evaporates and cools the air and oil. The presence of vapour aids combustion and the steam is recovered in a condensr (13) in the exhaust of the turbine. The condensate is returned (14) to be injected again.
