Pyrimidines of formula (I) and their pharmacologically acceptable acid addn. salts are new: (where R is H, halogen, Me or 1-4C alkoxy; R1 is opt. branched 1-5C alkyl, or opt. substd. aralkyl or aryl). (I) is prepd. by reacting a cpd. of formula (II) with R'C(=O)X. (I) can be used in prepns. for immediate or delayed use orally, rectally or parenterally.
