Cyclic process for forwarded bridge type concrete structure - uses prefabricated parts monolithically built onto cross=section core, with joints filled by casting

An overall monolithic structure is produced by subsequently completing wide-span structures, esp. bridges, withthe core cross-section (1)constructed in a cyclic forwarding process, using reinforced or prestressed concrete units. After forwarding the core cross-section, the missing cross-section parts are built on as prefabricated components (2) and integrated onto the core structure by joint casting. Requisite supports (3) may be concreted behind the abutment. The process is rapid, with min. forme work, and no danger of crack formation.
