Hooping lock for use in bone fractures, which acts to join the wire ends of a wire tightened around a bone, characterised by a square block element (11) having a bored passage (19) for reception of the one wire end provided with a stop ball (15), a tapered groove (16) for reception of the other wire end, and a transpiercing tapped bore comprising a cylindrical counterbore for reception of a hollow screw (12) comprising a screw-threaded section (13) and a cylindrical head which thrusts the other end of the wire into the tapered groove (16).
