Fitting device for side-opening bags on filler outlets - has top first gripped near opening and moved to outlet, then pushed sideways and grip released

The arrangement is intended for fitting empty bags (2) with self-closing side opening (4) at their upper end on to filler outlets (1) of a continuously rotating filling machine having a number of outlets. Each bag is initially gripped near the opening by two jaws (5) and subsequently pushed at high speed on to the outlet by a pusher (10) which engages the rear vertical edge (11) of the bag and is moved by a cylinder actuator (9). The jaws are released when the bag opening is fitted over the outlet (1), pref. by a rod (13) which passes between them and connects teh actuator to the pusher.
