Pneumatic transport of granular heat insulator - by pressurising storage container and injecting air in transport line both sides of valve

The arrangement is intended for introducing a granular heat insulating material, such as vermiculite or granular foam plastic, into aheat insualting cavity. It comprises a pressurised container (1) with outlet cone (2) and outlet connection (3) to hold the material, an air pressure vessel (4), and air lines (5,6) from the vessel with valves (7-9) to provide pneumatic transport. One line (5) provides an air pressure blanket above the material in the container whilst another (6) injects air into the outlet (3). A further line (19) with valve (11) branches off from the line (5) and enters the transport line downstream of its valve (9).
