Hot air circuit in domestic washing machine - extracts vapour to condenser where pressure is nearest to atmospheric

In the circuit for the hot air blown through for drying the linen in a domestic washing machine having a rotating drum, there is a vapour extraction outlet. This is positioned at a point where there is the least possible difference between the pressure in the circuit and that of the atmosphere. The extraction outlet is for pref. in the zone of the door. It connects to a condenser positioned for ease of access behind the switch panel, and passes through a seal from inside the door. There may be a low powered extractor fan behind the condenser, and the arrangement ensures a much more economical exploitation of the energy used.
