The shunting point (8) arrangement is intended for a conveyor system to move containers, partic. bottles (9) on to one (5) or another (6) track. It comprises a right-hand indented transport wheel (1) arranged side by side with a left-hand wheel (3) so that their indentations (1a, 3a) meet facing the diversion point (8). A spring pack (2) at the wheel (1) normally diverts each bottle into the left-hand track (5). A cylinder actuator (4) at the wheel (3) can extend its piston rod to divert a bottle against the spring (2) into the right-hand track (6). The actuator may be trunnion-mounted and have its piston rod linked to a pivoted lever.
