The safety screen for inside a vehicle is held in front of the windscreen to prevent the heads of the front seat occupants from striking the windscreen. The safety screen is provided by a transparent plastics film coated on both sides with a thin layer of safety galss for maximum visibility. The plastics film is held under tension in a support frame, with the glass cover layers adhering to the plastics. Under impact the glass particles remain embedded in the plastics without causing injury. The space between the safety screen and the windscreen is ventilated by dried, filtered air.
