Dust filter for mines - with fluid conveyor chute taking wetted dust to pump for discharge

The risk in a dust (esp. coal) filter of explosion due to friction produced, caused spark when a screw conveyor is used to discharge the collected dust is eliminated by introducing compression air to a fluid conveyor chute along the bottom of the filter and conveying the dust to a pump. A copious supply of water to the pump ensures that the dust is intimately wetted. The slurry can then be sprayed over the coal which is ready to be hauled out of the pit without any hazard. To ensure a slanting position for the chute, a wedge or adjustable feet can be used as support.
