Relatively movable nip rollers are provided in a fabric scouring and milling machine. The top board of the milling tunnel is resiliently mounted about the upper roller of the nip rollers. The milling tunnel is lined with high friction material. The nip rollers reliably grip the fabric being treated without damage. The rubbing action on the fabric in the milling tunnel is improved.
