Supply circuit for X=ray tube - has feedback from HV output of multiplier cascade to control amplitude or oscillator at input of cascade

The supply circuit has an oscillator whose output is amplified and applied to the primary of a transformer whose secondary is coupled to a high voltage cascade comprising a ladder of diodes and capacitors. Teh output of the high voltage cascade is connected to the X-ray tube's anode. The h.v. output of the cascade is connected to a resistive voltage divider whose tapping voltage is compared in a differential amplifier with a reference to produce an error signal that controls the amplitude of the oscillator's oscillations. The X-ray tube's grid has its own control circuit.
