The converter, which transforms eg PAL into NTSC, has two stores retaining picture information. Two coefficient circuits connected to the respective outputs of the two stores, modify, these outputs with appropriate coefficients. An adder sums the outputs of the two coefficient circuits. A third coefficient circuit is located between the input and output of the first store to provide feedback for part of the information contained in this store. A fourth coefficient circuit provides feedback for the other store.
