The measuring appts. has a unit (I) measuring the heat penetration through a component per time and surface unit, as well as a unit (II) for measuring the temp. difference on both sides of the component. A further unit (IV) calculates the temp. penetration coefficient according to a formula in which the heat penetration per time and surface unit is divided by the temp. difference. Further units (V, VI) provide digital display and/or recording of the temp. penetration coefficient of the measured component, as well as other measured values. The temp. penetration measuring unit has one heat flow sensor near, or at, a component wall. The sensor consists of a platelet-shaped measuring block of insulating material, such as a glass-plastics composition, on whose two surfaces are thermally dependent resistors of platinum, or suitable thermo-couples. The platinum resistor may be formed by a vapour deposited platinum film on a ceramic support.
