A vaulting horse has four legs made in pairs. At one end the two legs are fixed rigidly to the frame of the horse. At the other end the two legs (3a) and (3b) are welded to a common mounting plate (4) which is fixed by a bolt (9) to the frame (6). The head of the bolt (9) is welded to a piece of angle iron (11) forming a pivot and a strip of material (8) of limited elasticity is fitted between the frame (6) and the mounting plate (4). The legs (3a, 3b) are thus able to pivot through a small angle to accommodate unevenness in the floor.
